Refund Policy for Handmade Quilts


This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on handmade quilts purchased from our website, Eboni & Comfort (eboni-comfort.com). We are committed to providing high-quality handmade products and ensuring customer satisfaction in accordance with Virginia state law.

 

1. General Refund Conditions

Due to the unique, handmade nature of our quilts, all sales are final unless the product arrives damaged. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for reasons other than shipping damage. This policy is in line with the general principles of consumer protection in Virginia, which allows businesses to set reasonable return policies for custom or handmade goods.

 

2. Eligibility for Refund (Damaged  Products)

If your handmade quilt arrives damaged, you may be eligible for a refund. To be eligible, you must notify us within 3 days of delivery with photographic evidence of the damage. This timeframe is consistent with Virginia's consumer protection laws, which typically require timely notification of defects.

 

3. How to Initiate a Refund Claim

To initiate a claim for a damaged product and request a refund, please follow these steps:


 

  1. Contact Customer Service: Send an email to Customerservice@eboni-comfort.com within 3 days of delivery.

  2. Provide Order Details: Include your order number and a detailed description of the damage.

  3. Submit Photographic Evidence: Attach clear photographs that visibly show the damage. If the packaging was also damaged, include photos of the packaging as well.

  4. Return the quilt: There will be insurance added to shipping to make a claim against damage received from shipping. I will need the original packaging and quilt returned to me.  

 

4. Assessment and Resolution Process

Upon receipt of your claim and photographic evidence, we will assess the damage. Our assessment will be conducted promptly to determine if the product qualifies for a refund under this policy and Virginia state law.

 

If your claim is approved, we will offer one of the following resolutions:


 

  • Replacement: A replacement of the same or a similar product, subject to availability.

  • Full Refund: A full refund to your original method of payment.

 

Refunds typically take 10-15 business days to process and appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.

 

5. Conditions for Refund Eligibility

To ensure your claim for a damaged or defective product is eligible for a refund:


 

  • Timely Notification: Claims must be made within 3 days of delivery.

  • Photographic Evidence: Clear photographic evidence of the damage is required.

  • Product Condition: The product must not have been used or altered after delivery.
